Swap for Swap
So, I am taking my inspiration for this thread from Tom Dunnes Breakfast show today and the guy who swapped one red paperclip for a house., so i am offering a las vegas money clip complete with two whole dollars, and I would like to swap it for absolutely anything that I can then swap on for something else.
Ideally I would like to end up with some sort of small country but we'll see where this goes. the recommended retail price of the money clip (including the cash) is about $3 or about €2.20 so go ahead make me an offer! I will take the first offer that makes sense no matter what it is, offers that make sense consist of items that have even a marginal (or huge if you really want that money clip) price difference to my item as well as something that can be passed on easily. Check out the pictures to whet your appetite and lets move this into the goods over €500 section as soon as possible! |

RE: Swap for Swap
Hi Jeff,
I would love to go to Las Vegas and wouldn't be seen dead there without an authentic money clip and dollars you're offering. In exchange for the money clip, I am prepared to offer you a hand painted Greek mug from the small Greek Island of Zackynthos. I collect mugs from all over. This would be a great sacrifice for me to make, but I really want that money clip for when I go to Las Vegas, its the business. Hope to hear from you very soon! Danielle

RE: Swap for Swap
So the Mug swap finally went down. The money clip has found a new home and I am the proud owner of a brand new Zakynthos Mug. I have to say it is a pretty nice mug and will be hard to let go but for the greater good its something I will have to come to terms with.
I haven't even had a cup of tea out of it yet! Go on make me an offer.

RE: Swap for Swap
Hi Jeff, i'll take ur mug and raise you a gas mask. The gas mask is a memorabilia from Berlin. It's a russian one so it dates back to the USSR days and East Germany.
I could use a mug and i also love Greece one of the best countries i have ever been to!!! Hope u'll accept my lucrative offer. Sean. |

RE: Swap for Swap
Now this is one is fantastic.
For your bartering enjoyment I present to you a genuine Cold-War era Soviet gas mask. From a little bit of fishing around i'm pretty sure it is the PMG-2/GP-5M which was issued to Military units from USSR and the Warsaw Pact countries and dates back to the 1970's. This is perfect for all you history buffs out there, or if your just into rubber... ![]() |
